ChemVantage uses LTI to receive user and course information from your LMS for the purposes of authentication, delivering assessments, and returning grades. Data are retained only as long as necessary to support these functions.

  • Data are not shared with or sold to third parties.
  • No user Personal Identifiable Information (PII) is stored on ChemVantage servers
  • Instructors and administrators can request data removal as permitted by institutional policy.

How do students access ChemVantage?

Students launch ChemVantage from assignments inside the LMS course. No separate student account is required.

Can instructors create their own assignments?

Yes. Instructors can choose topics with Deep Linking, configure policies, customize items, and publish assignments to the course.

How does grading work?

ChemVantage automatically scores assignments and returns grades to the LMS gradebook through LTI Assignment and Grade Services.

How much does ChemVantage cost?

Instructor accounts are free. Individual student licenses are $8 per semester. Schools can buy annual student licenses in bulk for $5 each.

Is ChemVantage accessible and privacy aware?
